A note from Lea Ann: I am so proud to be able to call myself a native Texan, born and raised in Austin, Texas! I began my real estate career at the age of 27 in the beautiful community of Friendswood, Texas. I was excited to be working with and learning from the Friendswood Mayor and Broker/Owner of Century 21 KEY Realtors, Mrs. Evelyn Newman. After dedicating 8 years to that firm, I made the decision to join RE/MAX in the Clear Lake area where I enjoyed a challenging and successful career before gravitating back towards the beautiful Texas Hill Country that I call home. After 32 years, I still very much enjoy my chosen career as a real estate professional. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University, a licensed Texas Real Estate Broker, and an Accredited Buyer's Representative. After graduating from A&M I relocated to Houston and then San Antonio to pursue my career in property management. The larger cities were wonderful for my career but when my husband and I were blessed with a daughter, I started reminiscing about life growing up in a small community. In 1993 we relocated to the Columbus area. After ten years of being a stay-at-home mom, I activated my broker's license and joined Keller Williams Realty out of the Houston area. Two years later, I joined a local real estate firm, Texas Star Realty, and managed the office but still enjoyed listing and selling real estate. Texas Star Realty was purchased by Coldwell Banker - The Ron Brown Company in January of 2015. In March of 2015 I was blessed to join Double G Realty, LLC a locally owned and operated company. In addition to being a full time Realtor, I was also involved with numerous school and community activities such as Parent Teacher Organizations, Girl Scouts, Columbus Aquatic Team and Tri-County Aggie Moms Club.

Penny was born and raised in Eagle Lake, Colorado County and has lived here all of my life. Living in a small town makes you really know people and also the land that makes this area. Her passion has always been real estate whether it was when she worked for a Mortgage Company in the construction lending department with new home builders or just riding out on a piece of property loving the fresh air and scenery. Life does not get any better than that. Penny has been a real estate agent for 18 years and truly likes to explain to the buyer or seller understand what the process is from listing /or buying the property to each step along the way to the signing at closing. If there is ever a question that you do not understand, your agent is the one who you need to feel most comfortable with asking them to explain as there is no question too small. A native Houstonian, Arlene Johnsey gave up the beach life and landscape in Galveston for the gentle, rolling hills of Colorado County in South Central Texas.
